US: Chicago Hotel Workers Protest Outside Socialism 2026 Conference

Members of the hotel workers' union UNITE HERE Local 1 protested outside the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place in Chicago on Friday, September 4, during the Socialism 2026 Conference. About 7,000 union members working at 46 Chicago hotels have been without a contract since midnight on September 1 and are demanding a new labor agreement with fair wages.
